Full Metal Panic LIVE ACTION - Zac Efron as Sousuke Sagara???!!!

Full Metal Panic happens to be one of my all-time favorite series, which is a story about the young mercenary, Sousuke Sagara, who was assigned to protect the seemingly normal high school girl Kaname Chidori. The story is set primarily in Jindai High School, but goes beyond to fictional places like Helmajistan, where war and a lot of awesome mecha action take place.

Full Metal Panic has a novel/manga/anime written by Shouji Gatou (novel), illustrated by Shikidouji (novel), and adapted into manga by Retsu Tateo. This is one of the coolest series that I have seen and there has been recent news that an American Live Action is in the works. MORE DETAILS HERE

Okay, so what's the big deal about it being turned into a Live Action? Well, FMP has many predecessors when it comes to American Live Action- the most recent is Dragonball Evolution. Actually, I have nothing against Japanese anime/manga being turned into American movies simply because American movies are easier to understand without the subtitles and all.

However, the biggest catch here is that there's a rumor that High School Musical star Zac Efron has expressed interest in the movie. WHAT THE F***???!!! Even more so is that he's being considered as the actor to be cast as Sousuke Sagara! That's just DAMN WRONG!!! Sousuke's not about to go singing "We're all in this together" now, would he?

Zac Efron's been linked to other Japanese-to-American movies such as Death Note. I mean, come on!!! First he was rumored to play Yagami Light in the American Death Note probably just because of the fact that their hair parted in the same way. And now, THIS?! I seriously don't think he's gonna be able to pull off Sagara's character. He's not such a bad actor but I just hope that he would keep his nose out of this...
